How does level syncing work? It is easy FFXI Gil and requires no special equipment or items. You start building your party as you normally would by grabbing the appropriate jobs only this time. You don't need to pay attention to any player's current level except for the lowest leveled player. So you could grab a level 75 Paladin, a level 53 White Mage, a level 18 Ranger and so on. When you sync the party everyone in the party will cap to the lowest level of the party, so in this example it would be the level 18 Ranger's level. The party leader will have the option under the party menu options to Level Sync the party. Once the party leader activates the level sync option you will receive a 30 second FFXI Gil warning announcing the level sync will begin and that everyone in the party will be synced down.
A player in level sync party now has a level cap of the lowest level in the party but their gear is actually capped to that level as well. This is probably one of the best highlights of level syncing. You do not need to lug around tons of armor as previously done. In a sync party you can still wear your FFXI Gil level 75 armor, relic gear, artifact gear and the like. All weapons are also synced down. You basically just need FFXI Gil to show up in the armor and with the weapons you had equipped as uncapped. There has been some talk that synced down weapons are not as good as level appropriate ones, they still are decent and some still have their attributes associated with them.
